Default High revs--2000 es300

Hmm, i've noticed lately that my revs before changing go fairly high....3k range. I was just wondering, is there a problem with it? I thought it was lower for gear changes. It shifts smooth, just is annoying when your tryin to mope along and it stays in gear that long. Could it be the tranny ecu or somethin?

I noticed that happens sometimes with my 2000 ES300 but I notice that happens only when I first start the car on a colder morning. It drives fine after the engine warms up. I wouldn't worry to much about it.

Looks like you discovered the ECT/PWR Button?

The 2000 ES does not have the ECT/PWR button like in the '94.

Cool

Toyota eliminated that button on every vehicle in production by 1996.
It sounds like normal operation to me.
