1997 ES300 problems - Can you help ?
Hi, I love my Lexus but at high speeds I get a whistling noise and during cold weather the front end squeeks. The dealer said they could not do anything. Can you suggest how I can get rid of the problems ? Thanks !

The wind noise is I found to be the way the car was shaped and designed. There really is no way to reduce it. As for the front end it is most likely your struts. You can replace these to get rid of the noise. Where is the noise comming from exactly?

pdeprima, please tell us more details about the front end squeaking noise. Does it make the noise upon start-up of the car, or when you go over bumps and make sharp turns?

Start-up is no problem. Its when I go over bumps and make fairly sharp turns. I replaced the struts last year but the squeek still happens. Once the warm weather arrives, the squeek goes away. To me it feels like all I have to do is spray some WD40 in the right spot and the squeek will go away. It's embarsing when I have clients in the car. Thanks for your help !
