Default Newbie Question

Hi, new here. I need a daily driver for my commute (almost 100 miles per day). I figure a Lexus or Acura TL would be best for obvious (reliability) reasons. I test drove a 2000 TL, and found it boring, to be blunt. Never drove an ES, but I read good things about them. I have a question, and I am not sure how to frame it for a search, so please forgive me if it is something already asked and answered.

I am thinking of a 97-2001 ES. I see that the 2000-2001's underwent some minor changes. Anything that makes those changes worth a premium in price?
Any other advice?
Thanks
Sam
PS: My profile lists that I have an ES, as that was needed to register.

Not to mention the upgraded 210hp v6 engine. Ride and comfort are great. Make sure you have a solid set of tires that are "quiet". Long commutes will wear on you. My 2001 ES is extremely quiet from road and wind noise. A real treat when you want to listen to your stereo at high speeds. You do not have to crank the volume all the way up just to hear the lyrics. (something I did when I was younger, no matter how fast I was driving) And last but not least, A GREAT LOOKING SEDAN.
