Squeaky steering wheel
ES 300 2001 -Does anyone else have a steering wheel that squeaks when turned? I shot some WD 40 into the steering column, but it still squeaks !! any other ideas?

Hi Sharon, welcome to CL!
When I had my '01 ES, I too had the squeaking steering wheel problem. I brought it to a Lexus dealer, and they fixed it by cleaning and lubricating the dust boot inside the steering column. I believe I paid around $35 to get the job done. It's not exactly something I could do myself since I don't have the necessary tools to remove the steering wheel, and I would never dare to mess around with the airbag system.
