Got my self a Lex
Hello everybody.
Decided to share my new purchase with the forums. I picked this up few days ago. It's a 96 with 145K on it. I paid 3K for it and it was the best car for the money. I looked at million cars and for that price they were garbage. It's one owner car from florida so the condition is excellent.
I dont have alot of plans on moding since I got the car to temporarly replace my old car that burned down. I am planning to drive it for 1 1/2 years and then upgrade to a newer lexus. The only thing I am planing to do is to get new headlights, HID's, tints, and maybe some rims.
I have a question about wheels. What other lexus wheels will fit this car with out having fenders rolled nor using spacers? I searched the forum and the only info I got is that sc430 wheels need spacers and fender rolling.
Well hopefully this car will last me with out any problems.
P.S. Maintance is coming up, should run like new.
R.I.P my old ride.

i think almost any lexus wheel will fit the ES. the sc430's only rub because they are 8 inches wide. most of the other wheels are 7 inches or less.
i was actually just looking at c43 amg's the other day. cool cars. what happened to yours?
the ES looks really clean for only 3k.

Eletrical fire. Sad I know but what can I do. I am going to stick with lexus from now on. I was also wondering if RX300 wheels will fit with the right tire size for my car. The five spoke 16's are nice.

Anything off the Camry platform is generally free game. The Avalon's had some nice, spoked 16 or 17" wheels for a couple of years. I've seen them a handful of times rescently.
The Camry platform means you can use some years of the highlander (rx), and even sometmes wheels of the Sienna van.
For midsize + cars & car paltforms. Toyota was extremely fond of the 4*114.3mm bolt pattern. Tho offsets do change. This means you can use most wheels in production through the 1990's provided you can get the correct offset going on.
Your actual wheel specs are 5*114.3mm, +38mm offset. For the Camry platform. That was 1992-2001.

with the right tire size, i think these would look great on the ES.

I will be replacing the headlights since one tabs and lenses is cracked. No big deal except I cant find the gunmetal colored ones anywhere.
you can always switch out the gunmetal/chrome ones if you decide to pull your new lights apart to clear the corners.
