Default Factory Deck Replacment

What is the easiest and best looking way to replace the deck...like say I want to put a Panasonic DVD/Navigation in without having the huge gap?? Is there something else maybe that could go in?

I replaced my entire factory stereo (deck and speakers) last year. Here are a couple of pics of my head unit with the dash kit.

Does anyone have any pics of their LCD monitor in their ES300. I want to have one installed in my 97 ES300 but I refuse to put that atrocious monitor on my dash.

Sorry it took so long to answer. Well, yes I did all the work myself. I bought the kit from a stereo shop in Rock Hill, SC called "Sound on Wheels". A good friend of mine owns a stereo shop here in Lexington, SC, but he couldn't find a kit for the ES, so I would try that other shop. See if they can ship you one.

I used a wire harness I bought to wire up the new head unit, just like you would in any other car. And yes I did bypass the amp...I bypassed everything. I have removed every factory speaker and component of the factory system and replaced them with aftermarket items. Anything else, just ask.

Later,
Trace

Where did you get the wiring harness......supposedly they don't exist yet (says a car audio store ) if you could give me any info on getting one that would be great. Also how did you install your speakers? I am thinking about getting new speakers and installing them seems like a pain......

I bought the wiring harness from my friend at Ultimate Audio in Lexington, SC. Nothing special about it, but I assure you, there is a harness for the ES300 and it works perfectly.

Now about the speakers. What do you want to know about installing them? And which ones? I'd be glad to help.
