The car theater system...finally installed!!!
Finally, after a year of saving.... Finally got my entire stereo system installed!
I had my boy at Hifi Buy- Buford, GA install my 5.1 DVD system. I had him create a custom dash and mount an alpine centerchannel below the dvd. I had him install 2- JL W6v2, JL 1000/1, JL 300/4, 5fd. Cap, and Infinity components! He created a sick flush wall in the back and inset lexus and JL logos.

I got a nice break on the install b/c i knew the installer, salesman and i decided to upgrade my existing equiptment at the same time.... Even with the price cut i still got bent over w/o KY lotion lol. But at Hifi Buys you spend $$$ for a good job.
The total install came to roughly 2k. The most expensive part was infact the dash. The dash alone cost $900 to do. He had to strip the face off the factory radio. He then had to fiberglass all the holes where the lcd display and tape deck once were. Later he had to use 3 different paints then finally got a good paint match. We for a while were concerned if the chrome trim insets were gonna fit but, he made slots to hold them on.
The overall install was not very difficult ive seen many more extensive systems put together but messing around with fiberglass and bondo when it comes to modifying a lexus dash i just wasnt ready to take on. I wasnt about to destroy a lexus radio for nothing, get fiberglass on my leather, or woodgrain at my expense. If Hifi ruins it they have insurance for that. Forget paying it outta pocket.
To answer snicksnug's question.....yea, and it knocks so loud!!!
I would recommend my installer to do anybodys system in the ATL area if interests.
I just listed 2 infinity subs and 2 infinity amps in the Audio Classifieds if anyone is interested!
