Default Getting an error P1411 EGR Valve ??

Anyone know what this error is? I just got a P1411 EGR Valve Position Sensor Circuit Range/ Performance Malfunction error.

Anyone know how to fix it? A DIY with pictures would be great.

Thanks

Yes just remove the EGR position sensor, and you will see that it has something that looks like a botton, press it down a couple of times and hold it to your ear,if you hear a clicking noise from inside then it will have to be replaced!!Don't remove the whole EGR valve, just the sensor on top, which is held on by two 8mm bolts...

just curious where are the 8mm bolts? under it? I've played around with EGR before on a 96 Camry with same V6 engine and don't recall seeing any bolts.

For your P0402 I got this: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0402

to clean EGR isn't hard just time consuming because once EGR is removed it's suggested to put it under a cleaning solvent to loosen carbon deposits overnight to then blow out with air and scrap with proper tools...just hope it's ONLY that because if carbon is required to be removed further back into intake it's a much bigger job which a regular mechanic may not wish to mess with.

I may be wise to say that the P0402 is bigger then your P1411 this may be fixed with proper cleaning...carbon deposits can cause multi issues...concentrate on 0402 then go to 1411
