98 ES300 Door Handle Fixed
Well thanks to the everyone on the forum I was able to fix my door handle this evening! It was extremely easy and only cost $2 for the part and 30 minutes of my time.
Here is a step by step...
First I took the door panel off: (See this thread)

Door Wire removal -
Plastic -
Shield -Before and After
Broken Clip -
New Part -Lexus Part #69293-12040 $1.73

New Part Attached:
The clip is not very hard to take on and off just make sure it snaps into the door handle and the attaches firmly to the rod.
Oh and here's a good one... When using a flashlight to see inside the door during repair make sure you take it out before putting the door back togther. I couldn't find my flashlight anywhere until I noticed a small light coming through the door seal.

Nice job on the DIY. I'm glad to see there are people who can tackle minor problems with their cars on this forum, not just purchase and talk about what they bought or paid someone else to do with their car.

Great DIY write-up on the door handle fix. I remember when I owned the ES that this was a common problem on some of the '97-'01 models. It was usually either a problem with the actuator or the plastic clip connector. Glad to see in your case that it was an inexpensive fix for the part. I can't imagine how much Lexus would charge for a fix like this
This is worthy to be added to the DIY thread, so I'll go ahead and do that
