RMM intake w/ custom cai extension (pics)
With the blizzards we've been having in colorado, I finally got a chance to remove my intake and make it look a little nicer by painting some of the piping. I've been running this intake for a while now and haven't really post much on it. It's the Rod Millen Motorsports intake for the camry with a custom extension made from some spare intercooler piping. The intake runs all the way down into the fender and sits right behind the fog light. So far still no CEL and it sounds very nice. Let me know what you guys think.

Intake is an intake. Longer it is, the slower the throttle responce & less power on the road.
Cool that you actually did some of it yourself. Most people here wouldn't do anything by themself if you paid them too.
No offince, just observation tehehehehe.

nice looking work, obviously you have some experience bending pipe. was wanting to install one myself on my 97 es, and really found nothing that excited me in the retail markets(considering the cost). so youve had no problems and say you notice a better sound as well? are you running stock exhaust?? now the fire is lit to again think of doing one myself. any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated. again, nice work!

I'm still running the stock exhaust. This setup so far hasn't given me any problems for over 5 months, hopefully it will stay that way. As for the sound, its a huge difference over stock and has a very deep pitch.
I'm glad to have inspired you to continue your project. I guess the easiest way is to buy a good short ram and continue from there. But be sure to stay away from those generic ebay intakes. I bought one and it gave me nothing but trouble and ended up trashing it.
