Tanabe VS Intrax Lowering Springs
I'm debating on whether to go with Intrax or Tanabe lowering springs for my 2000 ES... Can anyone help me decide on which ones to go with and why? Thanks!

I've had both......had the Intrax on for about 3000 miles. They were good as far as comfort goes, but they started to sag, which shouldn't happen when they're that new. I likely would have stayed with them if my offset was a little higher, but the sagging created rubbing issues on the rear.
The Tanabes have been great to this point....still a nice ride on the highway, and a big improvement over the intrax through the corners. Really depends on how you drive and what kind of feel you are looking for.

thanks for the help guys... any more suggestions? a friend of mine told me that i shouldn't lower my car because "ITS A LEXUS?!" and also if i lower my car, my suspension could get worse such as wheel bearings wear out quickly and other parts...
And i seen many ES on this forum that are dropped and i want input from you guys because i want to drop my car but not really sure which route to go with - i just want a nice drop look with a comfortable ride..

I first put lowering springs on my car at around 55k miles and now I'm at 135k miles - so far no problems with anything wearing out too soon or anything like that. I just put in some JIC coilovers and everything is still going good
If you're looking for the comfortable ride, then go with springs. I prefer coilovers because you can adjust it to the exact height you want, it doesn't sag over time or when you have too many people in the car, and the adjustable dampers make it pretty versatile at any height.

I currently have intrax on my 98. The drop and ride quality is excellent. The drop is about a finger in front and slightly less than a finger in back. The only problem i had was when i had a system and rear was nearly tucked. So if you dont have a system, I say intrax would be a very good choice.

As far as premature wear on other parts, I highly doubt it....right after I dropped mine I've had to replace all 4 sway bar links, but they were well on their way anyway I suspect (which I attribute to my driving habits).
Good luck!
