es300. Steering knocking+boom sound
what could be wrong with my 2003 es300?
When I reverse the car and turn the steering wheel to the right, there is a loud booming knocking sound from the front right wheel area.
Also, when I reverse the car, then shift to D and drive straight, the steering column will make more knocking noises.
it has only 65k miles. The steering shouldn't crap out this early should it?

I know on my 01 there's something that releases, like some sort of pump or lock or something, right after you reverse out and start driving forward. It's pretty loud and it dims my headlights when it happens, but as far as I'm told it's nothing to worry about.
Not sure about the turning though...
