1995 ES300 Timing Belt Replacement
Hello all! I'm new to this forum and have a question that might have been answered before...so I thank you for you patients and help.
I have just purchased a used 1995 Lexus ES300. It has 69000 original miles. I am unsure when I should change the timing belt or if it had been changed already.
Is there a way to find out if it had been changed already?
If it has not been changed, when (how many miles) should it be replaced?
Also...How much should the replacement cost? I don't feel like getting raped by a mechanic.
Again...thanx in advance for the help.

Go ahead & change the normal tune-up items that should have been done @ 60,000m.
For the timing belt, flush your coolant now & wait until 90,000m. At which point change the belt & water pump.
Previous posts go over most anyhting u want to know maintenance wise.
