Question Found 'em!

WOOOOOT!

I finally found these wheels!

The only problem is, the first couple of places I've called only have 19s and up. Do you think these are 19s in this picture?!

PLEASE help me here bros!
Has anyone put 19s on a 2nd gen ES? Can it be done without fender rolling, etc.? Also consider that I'm putting the Whiteline springs on and dropping 1.5" in a few weeks.

The 19" question/worry now looks like a non-issue.
A couple of places have them in 18x7.5.

The price may make them a non-issue too, but I'm working on that.

Buzz kill. Of the three places that claimed to have the wheel - one no longer sells wheels, one claims the wheel is out of production/discontinued, and the last that actually offered the wheel can't get their hands on one. *Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh*

Back to the drawing board and the car continues to sit in the garage.
(Maybe I'll just see if they can patch the *&%$# tire tomorrow)

those look like the l-sportline model IV which are discontinued. There is a member selling his set in the wheels classified, but you might have to run spacers in the rear since the wheels are going to rub your strut. What's your budget if you don't mind me asking?

I guess looking in the Hot Windom pics for ideas on wheels isn't working out that well, since so many are discontinued.

I really haven't decided on a budget figure. If they knock my socks off, I don't mind paying for them. Price has never really been a big deal.

But then I guess there should be be some ceiling since we're talking about wheels for a 15 year old $5k value car here, eh?
Let's shoot for no more than $350 a wheel just to see where that gets us.

I have been on the Victoria Tires site and that was very nice and helpful. I like that they ship the wheels and tires mounted and ready to go. I've not done that before. I did notice that the brands mentioned in the VIP/EXE forum were not on the Victoria site. I went to some of the manufacturer websites and didn't see much that grabbed me. They're a lot like modern day tennis shoes/sneakers; the makers are just trying too hard.

I guess I've learned I like the designs featuring simplicity.

These Fabulous wheels might not look awesome on an ES, but the design is somewhat fascinating:

Even if these did "go" well with the ES, they'd probably be a bit trendy, and be outdated in 5+ years if that long.

Since I'm obviously never going to find the wheels I need, we can at least use this thread to discuss what's out there.

I wonder if Work Euroline FEs are ridiculously priced?

I think I could actually see these on my ES.

personally, I like 5 bar/thick spoke wheels an ES. I'm leaning more towards dish wheels actually. You should look into the work euroline sl in 18's. I think they would look nice on your ES.

Yeah, those are nice. I'm just not a fan of rivet-heavy designs. I know they're quite "in" right now, but they drive me crazy on anything other than a truck.

This painfully lengthy and laborious process has taught me that I want mesh or 5-spoke, no/barely-detectable rivets, a visible, if not prominent lip all in a silver wheel.

I actually like having some rivets in the wheels, just not all around. It doesn't make the wheel look so plain IMO. I guess you could go with the work euroline xr or the maya stm. I'm pretty sure derrick at d2autosport could hook you up with a set at a really good price.
