I don't mean to be rude or anything but this topic has been discussed a million times over. The ES was not meant to be a performance car in any sense. If anything, the best thing you can do is upgrade the suspension, slap on some rims, and call it a day. The ES was designed more as a "cruiser" car and any performance mods to it would have to be custom.

Welcome to ClubLexus!

Forgive our brother PlatES300's seemingly snippy response to your question. It's just that the ES tends to be the Toyota stepchild with respect to aftermarket performance parts.

Some folks here have embraced the "Luxury Only" mode of the ES. Some folks have fought against it, banded with their Camry cousins on boards like ToyotaNation, and spent whatever $$$$ they have to increase performance (beyond the suspension and headlights ).

The path you choose to express yourself through your ES is your own. To some extent there are resources available for all the paths depending on your patience and your budget.

You'll find a Performance thread with recommendations here. Pheonix is our resident engine and performance possibility guru and he put quite a bit of substance in that thread. Enjoy.

And welcome again...

There isn't much out there to be honest with you... Like many of us said before, this just isn't a car that is meant to perform. In other words don't expect to be winning races again Porsches anytime soon...

However, for that slight upgrade, stick to things like intakes, suspension, wheels, and possibly a sound system, if that's what you're into. I own a 2002 ES300 myself, which is basically the same car that you have, and honestly please just keep it clean. Lower it, and put some rims, even tints might look good. But don't go out looking for a custom made turbo for your car. lol It's just not worth it...

Good luck!
