If its in good condition take it, thats an awesome deal. I bought mine for $200 and no it's not a waste of money IMO. Yea it does give your car a more aggressive sound, especially at higher rpm's, its not a loud annoying ricer sound tho lol. I really like mine, iv never heard any complaints about Weapon R before so i'd say go for it, and let us kno how it turns out

Make sure you read through this ..."air intake that works" thread posed by Pheonix, the most knowledgeable resource in the ES groups about tuning this engine. Also make sure you check out this SiXteme thread on the same topic, which applies some engineering concepts to the topic.
In these threads and discussions, you'll find that there's no real hard, dyno-proven data showing a power increase for our car with an aftermarket intake. You'll see some claims of increases, but they were guesses; again no dyno comparison data.
You'll find (and you may feel the same way) many folks who've said, "Screw the data, I like intakes, I've had them on other cars, other cars get benefits from them, they look cool, they sound cool - I'M GETTIN' ONE!" Just don't be surprised when you get one, test it, and find that you've gained nothing and in many cases LOST power.

If i lost a little bit of power, who cares? I think the intake adds nice visual under the hood, and the sound is definitely much nicer than stock. These cars werent meant for racing (even though i wish they were) so if a little power is lost, its not a big deal to me, ill be worried about power when i get my IS350 in December
