6k is still insane.
Everyone here loves these cars, but in the outside world they're not exactly considered collector's items. Finding someone to buy such a high-mileage car is a challenge at book value, much less at several times book value.
Unless you badly need the couple thousand you'll get for it, my recommendation is to keep it and use it as a back up car, and/or for a change of pace when the newness of the GS wears off.

Like i said before, 6k is the MOST he can expect to get, a reasonable amount would be 4-5k. Go to www.cars.com and look at what other people are selling the car for, usually 4k and up. When i sell mine next year im putting it up for 5k OBO.

Wasn't a personal shot at you, TP26.
I'm simply pointing out that, with 200k+ miles and 10+ years, few of us ES-ophiles will a) get our money back or b) get better than book value. Although you didn't state the exact phrase, "What the market will bear" will sometimes overcome the mileage/age factor. Given the beautiful headlights of the 2nd gen, and the timeless styling of the 2nd and 3rd generation, I don't know why this car hasn't caught on as a "keeper." The FWD factor probably doesn't help.
But thanks for the distraction of cars.com while I'm here at work. Got me shopping and dreaming for a little while here. Oh well, there's not that much here to get done this morning anyway. *lol*

wow, what's up with ES owners upgrading to GS's lately
ES overners seems to be a diying breed lately.
I think it will go around 3~4 ish - My firend just bought a `97 with 130k miles on it for a little over 7k.
