Heys guys I dont know if its a problem but every time I go over bumps small, large or medium I feel it on my steering wheel and it sometimes causes the steering wheel to jerk a little, now I had my inner and outter tie rods replaced at toyota when I had my timing belt replaced but I still feel alot of the road on my steering if anyone has any idea what it could be please feel free to comment.

i have been having thing this same problem the last couple of days. i first noticed it when i hit a pothole going around a long sweeping turn.. my car felt like it stopped turning and was going to coast off the road. it finally jerked back into place, and ever since the front feels really loose and jerky going into turns. also the alignment went off so i suspect something in the steering rack is damaged as i had the exact thing happen to my previous toyota avalon. going to take it to the dealer tomorrow or friday and let them have a look.

Got my car back from Lexus today, turned out to be the bolts holding together the power steering rack where knocked loose. If I remember this has happened to a couple guys on here, so it could be what you are experiencing. Definitely have it checked out asap.

it was about $98 for alignment and labor. but, it feels 100 times better now seeing as the bolts have probably been loose for a while. if you can really get under there good and inspect you could do it on your own im sure.
