Default AutoCouture kit front bumper and fog test fit

well, i just got my kit in last week. so far all i have on is the front bumper and fogs. the bumper fit like a charm, as expected.and because i needed to take it to my bodyshop where they can give me a better quote looking at the quality of the kit. he told me he was actually really impressed. but just an fyi for those interested in this kit, the fogs(i believe) are fogs from another toyota or something from japan. what led me to believe this was that it had the usual koito markings and stamps of R for right and L for left. and second: when looking through the projector itself, the cutoff shield is backwards for jdm cars. and third, it uses an 9006 bulb, which comes with 2 DriveJoy 12V 55W bulbs. anyways, had to make a harness from my brothers old vcv10 headlight harnesses to adapt to the bulbs and existing foglight harness. man it was a headache thinking about the options. i remember searching about this kit a long time ago where someone had asked how much lower this makes the car, well, here it is. because i was curious myself. now it fills out the car more, instead of having that DUB styling that it was looking like.
well enough rambling:
This is before with stock bumper

after with AC bumper

daytime pics frontview

and close up of fogs

and this shot i really like

sorry, no side shots yet, it is too dark.

Wow, looking good! I'm excited for you and eager to see the finished project. You should get some 3000k HID fogs.

thanks man. i was going to go in on the groupbuy for hid kits, and go with a set of hid 3k fogs, but thank goodness i didnt. but i still would like to, but am unsure of how the color will change. so far, i think it should look ok, because the projectors themselves dont really have a blue tint to them.

Looks nice, I like the way the fog lights are neatly tucked in to the side there.

Will the CarDomain.com pictures expand at all? I need to see bigger versions of the pics you posted.

What are the estimates you've received for paintwork? I'll be getting a Signature kit in the near future and am afraid of the paint $$$$.

Very nice!

it took about 5 months. yes, i waited dreadfully everyday, because of miscommunication between AC japan and the dealer.
as of right now, ive been quoted $2500 for all car stripped and resprayed same two tone and two stage paint and have rear end damage fixed. saw their work on an m3, complete color change from stock blue to forest green of an aston martin, looked good, but up close all the paint imperfections show.
or a body shop that does pretty much most of the lexus dealers' cars in az for $3800. i talked to the owner, he quoted me nicely, the adjuster quoted me $5500, and thats not even respraying the whole car.
well, ive pretty much made my mind, im taking it in this upcoming monday, and he said it should be done in a week or so.
wish me luck everybody.
::crosses fingers:: that nothing goes wrong.

Its gona look nice find the right people and you can get the whole car done for under 1k. Our paint man quoted me 300 to repaint the whole left side of my car with pearl white to fix some scratches. So i'm thinkin if it was the whole car it would still be under 1k

I need to get my front bumper and hood repainted. I got some paint chips from all the salt and crap on the road. Other people say they cant see it but I notice it when I'm buffing.

Charley good luck at the body shop. She is looking better and better everytime you post.
