Default Strut noise

Just replaced my front struts and rear shocks on a 1998 ES 300. The car is in excellent shape other than the following:

Every morning when I start driving and go over a bump the front right and left wheel make a klanking noise ( metal against metal) like loose bolts. As the car heat up the noise goes away or is not as noticable. Sometime the problem does not go away at all, usally in a cold day.:uh:

This is really getting the best of me, my mechanic says there is nothing wrong with how the new struts/shock were put on.

My concern is that something might be wearing out and I might have a much bigger problem in the future.

Any one have any ideas?

Check your sway bar end links and frame bushings
Actually check control arm bushings too

If I rember it correctly its the sway bar end links. Its a very common problem in es' and camry's. I belive you can fix it with wrapping some piece in duct tape not sure what though.

I had that problem with my Talon. It was the strut mount.

I have the exact same problem, but the dealer fixed it. I don't know much about cars so I'll just copy the Service Invoice, Hope it helps. Mine stopped making noise.
"Upon inspection found both front struts worn out, and both front strut caps worn, replaced and tested."
Everything seems fine now, but it cost truckload to fix $1197.13
I noticed you said you had the strut replaced, have you tried the caps? Don't ask me what those are no idea, just copying my invoice. lol
btw mines as 98 too

It is very easy to do. The part only cost < 10 USD.
Buy the part first. When you have the busshings in your hand, look at your front suspension to find where they are.
When you know where they are, it will take you < 5 minutes to replace.
