what shift **** light is it is it the one on the dash or the center console either way their are threads on the forum for both so do a search and youll find what you need and someone else on here installed a led brake light and successfully got rid of the brake light out light so try searching for that too and by the way typing one long sentence with many questions in the same sentence makes it confusing to understand

Are you talking about the lightbulb in the shiftgate itself?..the different colored ones PRNDL2....
I think they are 194..but you need to double check.
Basically, you need to remove the center wood cover by taking a very wide flat head screwdriver (cover it with a soft cloth to avoid scratching the wood) and start prying between the wood and the vinyl part of the console. Start prying near the curved part and don't pry too hard, or it will crack. The wood trim should pop right out. (it is held in by two clip things..) Then, you need to remove 4 (i think) screws holding the black shifter bezel *** use one of those magnetic philips screwdrivers b/c its deep inside and i lost one of them ***. The black cover should comeoff, but only high enough to reach the top part of the shifter, which is in the way. You simply pull the bulb out .
