How rare is it to see a Lexus ES 300 with a cloth interior?

It's so weird to see that.

It's pretty rare, since you only find cloth on the barebone ES's. What year ES are you asking about?

Didn't they have a cloth option for fleet sales?

Yeah, that's my first time too seeing a '02+ ES with cloth seats. Such an oddity as well with ES's having no moonroof.

I remembered the es300's had cloth seats standard up until the es330, where leather became standard.

I believe 98% of Lexus sold are cloth, so they are out there. Some people do prefer cloth.
Dealers RARELY EVER order with cloth though, b/c they would sit on the lot a long time.

Maybe I'm reading what you said wrong, but after owning Lexus's since 1991, and spending lots of time at various Lexus dealers across the USA, I have only seen very few cloth interiors on ES's...and NEVER in their showrooms. Possibly you meant 2% cloth, and 98% leather?

I remember seeing a cloth '97-'99 ES300.....that was a shocker and the only one I've ever seen. Probably the owner ordered it since dealers would never stock a Lexus in cloth........

With the black interior like in the pics, I don't think the cloth looks too bad at all actually.
But I definitely would not want cloth in any interior other than black. I see so many "lesser" used cars on lots with the standard blueish, brownish, or greyish cloth seats, and even if the car is only a year or two old, the seats look freakin awful. All grungy looking and stained and/or sun-faded! Yuck!

I've seen 2nd gen ES with cloth interior and no sunroof before. It was at a junkyard. But the color was nasty. It had BLUE CLOTH and BLUE INTERIOR!!!
