Default transmission problem

I assume my problem is with some sensor,
i start the car 1500rpm
i put in drive rpm drop to 800rpm
i put in reverse rpm same as drive 800rpm no jerking in reverse when cold anymore.

if i don't put the car in drive when cold and just put it in reverse rpm dont go down and the car jerks in reverse.

what is causing this?

I have the same problem. When the engine is cold, it jerk when putting in D. And it happen only once (if I put it pack to P, then D again, no jerk.) Is it the same in your car?
I have drain and refill the tranny fluid with Toyota T IV three times. The fluid looks like new now: Does't help ==> Don't try it if your tranny fluid still good.
Engine mounts, Tranny mount: Look good.
Throttle body: Clean.
I have checked a couple forum. It look like this is a common problem with Lexus. Many people stay with it. Just warm the car up before drive.
I will let the Lexus dealer check it this week. Will let you know what they say.

Cool

I dont think you can do too much about this. As long as the tranny shifts properly and there are no codes youll be aiight.

When you shift into park all that keeps your car from moving is a little pin so if you are on an incline and the vehicle rolls a little the pin will just be hung up when go into Park and release the brake. So when you shift out of park youll get a bang. Its not really a big deal, Id just use the e-brake.

i floored it today going 55mph to pass someone, so it downshifted a gear, rpms got high, maybe close to redline, and i had a feeling like when you drop the clutch too soon, and get a jerk, but my tranny is auto.

which mount should be replaced to make the tranny shift better at at high rpm?

and how do you check the center mount?

Have any of you checked the oil??? Sounds like that when the oil is cold in the mornings and you put it into Drive, could be just oil. Maybe you just got to let it heat a little before you go anywhere.
Just a long-shot alternate view.
