That depends on the year.

AFAIK:
'92 - '98 are NON-interference engines.
'99 and newer are Interference engines.

The 3VZ–FE engine is a V–6, 3.0 liter, DOHC 24–valve engine.Pistons are made of high temperature–resistant aluminum alloy, and a depression is built into the piston head
to prevent interference with the valves. that came out of my new manual

Yea but the 3VZ is only in 92 and 93 ES 300s
Early 1MZs are non
VVTi 1MZs are.

BTW the manual is awesome!!!
