My transmission keeps slipping out of gear????

Did this happen to anyone?

YOUR TRANSMITION IS HAVING PROBLEMS. YOU NEED TO TAKE TO A PLACE WHERE THEY CAN CHECK IT AND FIX IT.

Have you started noticing the problem start all of the sudden OR has it always been doing this? Reason I ask is because ES300 transmissions are electronic shifting in nature and shift up and down regularly....my '99 does it all of the time and I can barely feel it. If on the other hand it is just plain slipping out of gear entirely with no forward momentum than that is an entirely different problem....YES, take it to a transmission shop or the Lexus/Toyota dealer and have it serviced.

How many miles are on the trans?
When was it last serviced (fluid change)?
Have you checked the fluid level lately?
What color is the fluid from the dipstick?

Let me know the answer to the above and I can give you an idea of what the problem might be.

I took my car to Metro Transmissions, (Canada, Toronto)

they opened it up and told me that a plastic washer had

melted and caused the transminnion problem, this also

caused some of the gears to rub (or something). It will

cost me $ 1800-2000 CDN to fix. I also need a new front

engine mount $160. My car has 185,000 KMs on it.

I bought it used 2 years ago.
