Default damn you pot hole

I was trying to find a parking space at night and all of the sudden i felt my wheels went over a pot hole. now there is a half inch scuff on my chrome rim. Will this scuff promote peeling on the chrome? any way to treat it? thanks in advance

I think you could get corrosion on the copper/zinc layer underneath the chrome. Maybe use silver touchup/clear coat paint if its not too big.
