lol i think it's time to upgrade your radio!! jp

Well i disconnected the battery many times before on my 93 but never had to put in a security code. All i lost were the radio station presets.

Maybe u can search around the forum or wait for someone to chime in.

If you bought the car used, contact the previous owner for the code because somebody put a code in. If a code was never programmed, your radio would still work i.e. (they dont come preset with a code from the factory)

Youre allowed 9 times to enter the code and after that it will say "HELP" and off to the dealer you go!!

If you know the code:
Press and hold Tune "Up" AND "1" until you see the menu change to - - -
To change the first digit, press "1" until you get your desired number
To change the 2nd digit, press "2"..
To change the 3rd digit, press "3"..
Press and hold Scan "Down" to finish

You can try using the last three digits of your VIN as the security code. If that doesn't work, you're more than likely SOL and will have to pay the stealership.

I'm not sure if the car has to be in ACC or ON position, but you don't have to start the engine.

The code has 3 digits, so if you try what 13loody suggested and it doesn't work, you could try "000" or "999" which are sometimes used as default codes. But remember, you only get 9 tries - the 10th error will lock out the radio for good until you get it reset at the dealership.
