97 Gas Flap wont open

Just recently noticed my gas flap does not open with the button on the dash, I have to reach in the trunk pull the handle and push the flap open. I assume something is missing there that springs it open. Can anyone shed some light on the situation? Is there some part that Ima have to order?

fuse, possibly? or maybe something else with the clips inside? just a WAG

I read something similar happened to another 3rd gen es...a long time a go, but it was some plastic clip?

I can here the button clicking like its trying to pop it open, it just doesn't spring out. Anyone?

You don't need a part number. Just ask the guy at the counter for it. I got mine replaced a lil over a month ago for a few bucks. $6, if I remember correctly. The guy was nice enough to replace it for me too.
