Done this when I replaced my starter in the past before.
Thank you I will try this I have taken off the TB completely and cleaned it out. Also was wondering if I turn key to about how many times I am supposed to take key from the office position to fully start?! For example (how many times do I cycle through #1-#4)

Lock #1 Acc#2 On#3 Start#4
I must advise that the battery has been out for longer then 1 week. One new alternator and battery later, the check engine code I was getting for can shaft sensor bank 1 has not come back. Vehicle also idles at 1000rpm at start up then after warming up idles down to near 450 and sits without stalling. Over 200k on vehicle.

!!!!UPDATE!!!!
Reason its sitting at 450rpm w/o stalling is b.c of the altitude here just needed to drive it around to reset idle. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE LINK AN ADJUSTMENT FOR MY TP SENSOR!!! Its a 4 pin sensor, need to adjust to put back in place to remove p0122 code.

Step 1: turn key all the way forward without starting car twice.
Step 2: turn car on
(To be clear in step 1 & 2) turn forward, turn back, turn forward, turn back, turn car on.
Step 3: put car in drive.
Step 4: push down the emergency brake
Step 5: leave car in drive, release your foot break and wait.

Mine took a little over 5 minutes suddlenly idle was relearned.
THIS IS the best solution , IF you did connected battery then reconnect and idle comes down to zero and engine stalls. This is very unorthodox solution. (not sure if engine stalls due to idle control valve problem etc.). Mine is 2003 ES300. I disconnected battery and reconnected and engine stalls when foot off pedal. I haven't driven this for 2 weeks so though battery died so I drove around neighborhood for 15 minutes to recharge battery but same problem. So googled it found this solution from Gustavo87. It worked exactly as he said. Now it idles at around 750 and does not stall. Very unorthodox solution to "make it re-learn" to idle. Thanks Gustavo. You saved me several hundred dollars taking to repair shop.

Did u find out what was wrong with it? What cost u 1100 bucks?

Default Low idle problems too

Gustavo87: i’m having the same problems with the low idle. My car was working just fine, but recently my battery went dead. I took the battery to AutoZone. They diagnosed it as a good battery checked the alternator and that was the problem (by the way, that was an original alternator it lasted 21 years) after replacing the alternator with one from Napa Auto parts I turned the car on, and the idle is running really low 😞. I am definitely going to try your technique. I’ll let you guys know if that works.
