Those Ebay "chrome" grill kits are nothing more than a roll of shiny plastic strips with a self-adhesive backing that you stick to your grill. But I guess that's about all you could expect for ~$25
To each their own, but IMHO, A Lexus deserves better than that.
I took my grill off and had it chrome-plated.

As far as chrome-plating it is concerned, it was possible on my grille b/c it's made of metal. However, I think on some of the later models, the grille is plastic, in which case real chrome-plating isn't an option. Not sure whether I would attempt to "chrome paint" a plastic grille.

Mine is plastic, I could paint it in a booth very nicely and put some clear on it. But for 20 bucks I guess I will be the test geniue pig for th is item from ebay.
