i'm on stock clutch now...
ever since my starter broke and the housing of itbroke off and blasted a hole in my tranny and also breaking the pressure plate....

=*(

i'm on a new tranny...new motor...sorry *** stock clutch that doesn't seem to grab like my spec stage 3 clutch =(

but anywho... the stage 3 was stiff... but brought alot of power to the wheels...

i notice alot of difference torque and hp.

but now i'm all stock..

stock clutch, stock intake...

i feel like my car is laggin... hopefully its not the timing?

So yea so is the power diff. more from the stage III clutch and not the motor and does anyone now if there is a more powerful jdm motor that will go in a gen. 3?

I'm gonna take a wild guess here and suggest that he'd respond with something to the effect of: the 3VZ-FE is plenty capable of more power as it is. For what you'd spend on another motor, you could add a turbo and add as much horsepower as you can afford.

(The suspense is killing me...)

yeah or you will need a dictionary to decipher what he's talking about... "no offence phoenix"... its just that some of us have to open a book to be able to spit that stuff out lol...

I'm gonna have to go with Slow on this one.. Phoenix is going to say something along the lines of "the 3VZ-FE has the highest amount of low range torque among the V6" and "our engines are quite capable of handling over 300hp on mostly stock internals with a simple turbo set up." Oh yeah, forgot the classic "use the search function.. I've answered this before."

Edit- Check out Phoenix's posts on free mods

I listed the old heads in the classifieds... they are complete with cams, new valve stem seals and surfaced

Now that we have all answered for phoenix motor swap out is not the best option. But I also have to ask does the 97 have the 3VZ-FE or is it a diff motor?
