I have a 4th generation (4.2 version) navigation system and I am thinking about purchasing an updated DVD. Does anyone know what the latest version is? And how long will they continue to upgrade the 4th generation? Wondering if I should wait a little longer for a newer version release. Also, the dealer said they would need to install it for me--is there some trick to installing the DVD besides just inserting it? Thank you.

I think ver 7.1 is the newest and they put out at least one a year. I heard one can do it themselves but I would keep my old disk incase it is used for security reasons. Maybe that is why the dealer wants to do it---so they can change the security stuff to match the new disk?????
