How much were you of by and how wide are they?. You may just be able to use a spacer and not longer studs and a spacer doesn't require any more work to put on.

Your best bet is to just stick with Toyota/Lexus OEM wheels. There are plenty different ones to choose from anywhere from 16" to 18" and you will have a lot less trouble with fitment. Try searching around for Camry/Avalon/Solara rims or even newer ES wheels.
Yeah, I have my eyes set on the 17" IS 1st gen 5 spokes, but I'm having a hard time finding someone local.
