weird surge with 98 es i may buy
looking at purchasing a 98 es300 with 80k miles on it (for about $9800)...took it for a long test drive today and noticed a wierd problem on the interstate
when i was driving it i switched the lights onto the running light position and all the dash lights dimmed but the red sqaure around the R (reverse light thing) lit up, and then when the lights were switched to auto the car kind of surged and when switched off again it surged again
the dealership is checking to see if it may be the alternator but electrical problems always scare me? any opinions or input on this would be greatly appreciated
edit: it also has the adjustable suspension and from the research ive done that its a real common option...is that going to cause problems or somehow effect maintenence costs?
