I'm trying to sale my 1991 Lexus Es 250......problem is that it's a high mileage car...156,000 to be exact....although i haven't driven it for about two weeks.
I got lexus factory rims that went with that model just a couple years ago...the car was bought by parents brand new back in jan '91. It's got all records. Leather is still in nearly brand new condition...no rips...and nearly no cracks in leather (i have had leather redone though) great mechanical condition....the check engine light has been on for three years...and lexus told us back then that it was just a sensor thing...they reset it....and it came back on again when i went over a monster speed bump....ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RESET IT??? also just got a new timing belt...and my parents got a new power steering pump put in just before i got it (which was the only problem with car ever)....anyway......i have had it in the local autotrader for about a week and half now....not a single call on it yet......im asking $6,000 (only cause its the best looking es250 i have seen around here, although i havent seen many...but when i do..they look all dirty and beat up....and mine is always shining) what do you think??? is $6,000 way more than its worth....kbb.com says that retail on it is over $6500...although trade in is only !!!!$3,600!!!!...any help or advice would be appreciated

by the way....im looking for anywhere between a 92-94 Lexus Es300 in the 70,000 mile range (give or take several thousand miles)....this shouldn't cost much over $10,000 should it.......and how hard would it be to find this year of car with that low mileage. I'm new here, and this place seems awesome!

the price of my car, from the dealer in the middle of this year, was 18000. now, on kelly blue book. my car is worth 9000. it is a 94 ES with 77000 miles on it. and it had some minor body work. so they are about $10000, if that is what you are looking for. From a dealer it might be a little higher. but it should be close.

Pull the EFI fuse in the engine compartment for about 1 minute. No need to reprogram everything (from disconnecting the battery).
To find out the problem source of the Check Engine Light:
Make your the engine is at operating temperature & shut it off.
Get a jumper wire, and at the diagnosis modeul (engine compartment, near the drivers side strut) Connect the "E1" & "T" terminals.
Turn the ignition to "On", do not start. The engine light will blink a code.
Tell me that code, and I'll tell you what to look for.
