Cool

ya dude it's prolly the cat. Unless the heater core valve is stuck and you're circulating coolant through it during the summer. hehehehe

Unhappy

I wish you would get this fixed and quickly. I'm worried we're gonna read about you suffering lung or brain damage gagging on gases, or that your car burned up.

Damn.. Go with what pheonix says and get a new cat, that does not sound normal if you literally have to pull your leg away...

I have the same problem with my 98 es300 with 120k miles. I was suspecting a stuck open heater core valve. I never thought of the cat. It seem like this is a common problem. I am surprise no one have a definite solution.

Maybe cause its summer and its getting pretty hot now? Most cars do this... my 300m does this and my gx470 as well. It depends on driving time and weather... Im sure it wont be a problem in winter. We're hitting 100 degrees out here daily now.

But if its to the point where you want to get your legs out, ouch, check your heat vents first, then take it to the dealer. That doesnt sound good.
