im just driving down the road and all of a sudden my legs are burning up! i feel extra heat coming from under the steering wheel. it's not exactly a flow of air, but its just hot air sitting there. why is that happening? how can i fix it? it doesnt happen in the passenger area but only in the driver seat. what's wrong?

May want to have your Cats looked at, could be clogged or partially clogged. Look under tohe car to see if they are glowing red. If so, time to replace. This could account for the heat.

Up near the front of your car on the main exhaust pipe (downpipe) you should see an oblong cylinder with a heat shield around it. If this cylinder seems to be reddish in complextion (glowing) then in all probability, you may have a clogged catalytic converter.

I would bet your cat is collapsing, plugged & super heating. It sits in the area under the radio & does have dual heat shielding on it, but a 1200* metal object still radiates some heat.

Go drive around for abit and get under there & see. It should be as hot as the rest of the exhaust, but if it's so hot it's glowing, or the underside of the car is hot because of it. Then replace it.
BTW - It's cheaper to have a performance shop weld in a $75 high-flow cat than it is replace it with an OEM type cat. (a grand)
