And you can see an example firsthand here.

There's also a Wolfgang Headlight Lens cleaning kit out there that several others and I have had success with too. You can just Google and find that one.

Look for Maguire's PlastX. About $5 at Wal-mart. Anywhere else like Kragen, Pepboys, Autozone is more expensive.

Worked wonders on my ES300 and my friends Avalon. I recommend it. Make sure to put some elbow grease in there

In addition to PlastX, I found that Mother's Mag & Aluminum can polish works wonders on plastic headlights. There are plenty of choices out there

The mother's chrome polish works too but is cheaper than the power metal. The power metal is around $10 while the chrome polish is around $3. I just suggest using plastx (I used all of the products before I found plastx) and plastx is better to work with and leaves your lights shiny longer from the oils that help polish the headlight. The other polishes tend to leave a dry rough surface.

+1 for the PlastX. Works very good but you definitely have to put some elbow grease. I thought I was going to have to take the head light off and take it apart and clean the inside as well but just using PlastX on the outside worked wonders...

Wolfgang™ Plastik Lens Cleaning System

The cleaning chemicals are likely similar to the Plastix (and the numerous other similar-intent products; Zaino has a good one too). I feel a large benefit of the Wolfgang kit is the inclusion of the cleaning heads, which attach to your drill and greatly minimize the physical cleaning effort/labor.
