Default starting time

hello guys,

i intend to buy an ES300 /2000. so i need some info regarding the issues i should check before buying it.
also i am concerned about the time the car needs to warm up so that i can drive. i heared i should wait till the rpm gets down to 1, which takes sometimes 10-15 minutes. is that right? and is it the same with all lexus models?

Starting time should not be a major concern when buying a car...
You should be able to start your car and immediately start driving, as long as you drive gently during the first 5 minutes.
I have a remote start, so i just warm my car up 2 minutes (rpms still around 1200) and start driving.

You dont have to sit and wait for the rpms to drop. Just start it wait like a minute or two then go. The only time it will take 10-15 min to warm up is if your heat is blasting when you start it up. Excessive idling will only cause excessive wear and worse mpg. Engines dont like to idle.

The time for me between start-up and drive is enough to put my house keys and cell phone away, click the seat belt, set the A/C control if necessary, and a radio station or CD
