Default Rx330 17's

My friend is fitting 2007 18's to his rx330. I'm buying his 17's and fitting 45 profile tyres. I believe the wheels are a 35 offset. I'm almost 100% there wont be a problem. Please convince me..

Yeah, you should be fine. with 45's you'll be as close to stock as you can get which is about a =3% variance which is minimal.

I'm running 50 profile on 17's and its giving me a 0.1% variance.

I believe their 18x7

It just occured to me that I mis-read the entire question. So you're buying the 17's off him not 18's. I mistaken it because I thought 18's was stock on the RX330???

My car's stock tires are 205/65-15

This is the variance that I got from on: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Tire Size Comparison

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
205/65-15 5.2in 12.7in 25.5in 80.1in 791 0.0%
215/50-17 4.2in 12.7in 25.5in 80.0in 792 -0.1%
215/45-17 3.8in 12.3in 24.6in 77.3in 819 -3.4%

.

Thanks everyone, they are 17x7 I think. I'm looking fwd to how they are gonna look on the car, and dreading how long it is before I decide that I must lower it. Which basically was the reason i bought it in the first place. To leave it well alone. I'll post pics once I get the rims...thanks again.

I think you should slap on some tires and lower the thing straight away.

Hey Bombsquad! How did you go with the rims? Have you decided to lower the car yet?

I am planning on putting 18" RX rims when I get back. Hopefully everything goes well.

I've never heard of the RX having 17" rims =//
