Default New Battery or no?

I just hooked up a new pioneer head unit with 2 10 inch subs when the radio is on low i can kind of her a whinning noise. Do you think i should get a new battery that give out more power it is still the original battery the car is 97 es tell me what you think thanks

You need a ground loop isolator.

Make sure you have "good" solid grounds on the deck and any amps you have in the system (make sure to sand down to bare metal, use a good machine screw or nut and bolt, not a self-tapping screw). Check the grounds in the engine compartment - make sure they are not corroded, if they are, use a stiff wire brush to clean them up.

? - does the noise increase when you accelerate?
If so, you may need a Capacitor installed inline with your amps (if you have them - assuming you do as nobody would run 2-10 subs off a head unit)

yes i do have an amp running them and yes it does get a increase as i accelerate.

Cool

If you hear whining from the alternator you have poor grounds somewhere. Fix them.

Alot of people like to beat around the bush. Rip all your grounds off, reloacte them to bare chassie metal & problem solved.

so just move the ground in the trunk that is coming off the amp...circuit city hooked all of this up by the way

You need to do some research, what makes you think a battery will eliminate the problem?

i just wasnt sure if i needed more power to power the subs i know my battery is fine but i didnt know if i needed more power..
