Well, 3rd gen is from years 97-01 and those are the only years that will fit on your car. I believe HID was an option for 2000-2001 only, but I could be wrong. Try going to www.car-part.com and search for Headlight Assembly for 00 or 01. It will give you the option for HID, and then start making some calls when the results pop up. A whole bunch just came up for me when I searched.

800 is pretty steep.. some of those junkyards are pricey. But just be patient and a cheaper one will pop up. The projector headlights you found on ebay are for the previous generation ES (92-96) and will not fit on your car. They did come with projectors, but were not HID.

but couldn't I just get those headlights and get the HID kit put in? I don't want to get the headlight, and having to rewire the whole car for true HID if that's what you are thinking I want to do.

HID kit are made for OEM headlight, like mine...... so if I get the projector headlight shouldn't the kit fit on like the other headlight?

Sure you could just stick a kit in your current headlights but they wouldn't look as good and would give off a lot of glare. If you got just the 2000-2001 oem HID headlight assembly you can most likely buy a plug & play kit and rebase the bulbs or find a kit that will fit correctly so that you don't have to buy the oem ballasts and bulbs. If you want to just open your headlights up and put in projectors, than there are much better HID compliant options than the ones you found on ebay.

anyone know why my lexus suddenly has H4 as the low beam instead of H7? I thought it was H7 so I bought some silverstar but it won't fit cause it has a different rubber stopper kinda thing and it's too big for the H7

the H4 I have is apparently for motorcycles only but it work?!?!? should I take it to a dealership see if they can give me the original H7 fitting for free?

does anyone know where I can get a bottle of paint color to touch up some of the scratch I just found out I have on my lexus? the pics of my car are on page 1 if you need to know what color.

I don't want to go to a paint shop and pay like hundreds to just paint small parts :\
