Out of power?
So I swear I bought a new battery not too long ago... I tried to go out last night and clicked the button on the side of my key, nothing happens. I figure damn, the key must be out, so I grabbed the spare. Go back outside, still nothing. Now I grabb the master key. I open the door manually and there's no power what so ever. Any idea's? Also, when my car usually turns off my headlights when I turn the car off, open and close the door. So I usually just leave em on, would that be a problem?

A battery could have been sitting on the shelf for ages, and could just deplete its charge on its own...
and leaving your lights on when you turn your car off will drain excessive power from the battery.

thanks for the info guys. I though leaving the lights on would be ok since the lexus automatically turns em off once i got out the car.... Guess I thought wrong lol. I got my car jumpstarted by my cousin, if anything goes wrong again, I'll be getting a new battery.

Oh, if they're automated and turn off, than that's fine.. but still, leaving any larger power absorber on will drain the battery in time, and the headlights are larger power users. If they turn off automated, than they are only on for like 15seconds which isn't a big deal.
