Question Performance parts

Does anyone know where I could get some parts to make my car have a quicker acceleration? How expensive are these parts? And how would I have them installed? Thanks

The most inexpensive to give a little performance would be the classic K&N air filter. And a cold air induction kit to force cold air into the intake. Other than those, there isnt too many mods for the ES300 on the engine side, more people are doing the GS series

The K&N filter normally gives about 2-3 horse at rear wheel, alot more at the flywheel. It also gives better gas mileage as well. I like mine alot.

I agree with Erfan but i heard it is 5 horsepower. You any of you wanna buy it go to that website and click on performance, click on the year/model of your car, K&N Filters and that's all... you may buy it.

K and N Air Filters
Easy Drop In Installation, Replaces Stock Filter
Better Airflow for Maximum Torque
Increased Gas Mileage
Million-Mile Warranty

Airflow to your engine is one of the most critical areas affecting the performance of your vehicle and one of the easiest areas to upgrade. Original equipment air filters on new vehicles are generally very restrictive. This is due to their paper construction that actually limits engine breathing. That's why we recommend K&N, the leader in filter technology as proven by their heavy use in both on and off-road racing.

The only performance improvement you'll feel by using a drop-in (still in stock airbox) K&N filter will be a psychological one.

I actually do get better gas mileage and a little more pep, if it was all not real, nobody would but it.

People buy all sorts of useless aftermarket performance products. Regardless of whether any product provides real-world performance benefits, many sell because of marketing.
My friend can vouch for that since he sells Honda aftermarket performance parts. In many cases, a performance product (e.g. air filter) isn't useless, but no real-world benefits are realized unless other products (e.g. headers, exhaust) are used in conjunction with it, and/or a modification is made (e.g. removal of resonator box).

But the K&N isn't useless. It lasts a long time (provided you clean and oil it properly), and it's marginally quieter than the stock paper filter at full throttle. So egainer, if you're itching to get a performance product, pick one of these up and be happy. Just don't bet your life on being able to tell the performance difference in a blind, controlled test between a stock filter and a K&N drop-in filter.
