overheated

Default overheated

my car over heated tonight,and when I opened up the cap to the block the little bit of water that spewed out was dark brown. What is the color from and what can I do to fix the prob?

Rust... Did you have antifreeze? The first thing I would do is to find out if there is a leak... You should have the radiator checked for blockage (rust and sediment) at a radiator shop they might have to rod out radiator ... You should flush out the block there is a drain valve above the rear motor mount to drain the block... Also might be time for a waterpump

the radiator is 2 months old,should i still flush it?

since I've had the power steering fluid leak when the car get warm coolant slowly escapes from the rad.and block still scratching my head over that one,and just been putting water in

YES, actually you should/will be flushing the entire cooling system. If its still overheating, start with the easy stuff first, check for a leak at the waterpump, & check the thermostat.
