Default I'm thinking about buying a 2000 ES300, Any advice?

I've found a one owner 2000 ES300, millenium silver w/ blk interior. The car is in showroom condition. The only thing that worries me is it has 109k miles. Any advice on buying this model? I don't want to have to spend a lot of $$$ in repairs. Let me know what I should do before purchasing. If you have the 00 model with over 100k miles, what has your experience been?

This car is awesome. It looks like brand new.

Make sure it has the service records and be sure that the major work required at around 90-100 has already been done. I am talking about changing out all major belts, especially the timing belt. Other things: thermostat and water pump.

And make sure there is no engine sludge.

Welcome to CL, by the way. I've been here since May of 2004 and I only have good things to say about this community. You'll find a lot of very kind people who are very resourceful.

I would not be too concerned about the mileage.
These cars can go well over 200K miles.
How much is the selling price?

Definitely check for service history such as timing belt etc. that was mentioned above. PLEASE HAVE IT CHECKED FOR GEL BY A LEXUS DEALER. It won't cost you near as much to have it checked as it would to have the engine rebuilt. Also you want to make sure the rear main oil seal is not leaking. The best advice is just run the car up to the local dealership and have them look the car over for you.

If you could find a platinum series I'm sure you'll love it.
