'05 ES330 (50K)- Tires, Brakes, and ???
Hi All -
I have 51K on my '05 ES330. It's a lease that I'm buying out.
The tires are shot, and the wheel wobbles when I touch the brakes, so I think new brakes are in line since the shake; and the number of miles.
All I have done to the car is change the oil every 5,000 miles at Jiffy Lube.
Now that I am buying the car, I want to bring the service up to date.
Replacement Michelins (17") = $214 each (incl mount, balance, etc.)
New brakes with rotor cut = $190 front, $190 rear. (local tire place, not dealer)
I have two questions:
1. Are the above prices I am being quoted totally outrageous?
2. What else should I be doing to the car at this point since I am sure I have neglected some items.
I am trying to avoid the dealer because they charge an arm and a leg for everything. ($55 for oil change - $800 to do all the brakes - etc.)

$214 for each tire "cough"RIP OFF"cough" - is that the dealer qoute? You can do alot better buy ordering from the Tire Rack the 4 tires you need and having a local shop mount and balance. Do you have a "Town Fair Tire" by you because they will give you a free front-end alignment with the purchase of 2 or more tires.
Brakes - if you have a little knowledge mechanically, you can do them yourself for just the cost of new rotors and pads.
