Here is the stock base of the D2S.







Here is the filed base for the D1S.I used a electic sander and a hand file.







Stock with screws removed. Like aways the brackets where done on our Waterjet machine.







The Bracket to get mounted on the SC430 bowl. I also mounted them on RX330 and ES300/330 projectors.They may work on others.







I left the top hole oval,just incase I needed to move it.But all the bowl I used where the same.











Ready to install the D1S bulb.







Perfect fit.







I used the same clips from the D2S bulb holders to hld the D1S.So don’t throw them away.







As you can see they are about the same size as the Audi A4 D1S projectors.

Nice! I really like your precision of your work. I wish I was able to make brackets for my retrofits. I would love a bracket for LS430 projectors on the 2GS. Is there a reason for converting D2S to D1S? I've always thought D2S was superior.

They are mading a comeback.I have noticed that they are been used on the new cars for a couple of year.They say they have longer life span then the D2S bulbs.The piggyback igniters may have sothing to do with it.I may be wrong. The reason I did it was to show it can be done.I have two set of D1S bulbs and now I can use them on my D2S projectors.

D1S huh, interesting. I didn't know the ballasts are built in.

Thats just the igniter.The ballast is compact.but their are bulky to slim ballast. I think the corvette C6 has the slimest ballast.Its the same thickness as my razer
