Another Wheel Fitment Question
Hello all, I'm an SC guy hoping to get educated on whether/how certain wheels will fit on an ES300. Briefly, a friend of mine who owns a 2002 ES wants to buy the set of wheels I used to have on an SC400. These wheels are Racing Sparco NT-Rs, 17x7", 45mm offset. I personally think they are very good, cheap, and good-looking, lightweight wheels (15.4 lbs apiece); they were great on the SC400. However, I've just spent an hour searching the ES forum, and I've read about how wheels from a rwd car, like an IS300, might need spacers or longer studs, or a different type of lug nut, etc. to work on an ES300. Of course, we could just test fit one wheel on the ES, but the wheels are in storage in another town right now. Can anyone give me a rundown on the issues we'll face in trying to fit rwd wheels onto an ES, and whether this is even worth trying? Thanks.

Actually is300 rims fit well is350 rims do not. As far as sc rims a lot of guys have sc430 rims on their es's. Now from what size and offset you just said you should have no problem with the studs but you may need a small spacer.

OK, so we may look for thin spacers, maybe 5mm? Do they make anything under 5mm?
Or, we may do it right and get wheels meant for the ES . In any case, thanks for the info!
