Default Tail light swap question

Hello everyone. My name is David and I've recently bought my first Lexus automobile.

It's a 2002 ES300. I want to rid myself of the chrome tail lights that it's equipped with. I want to know if I can fit 2004 ES330 tail lights on there with little or no fitment issues.

That is the question at hand.

Question: Can I fit 2004 ES330 tail lights on my 2002 ES300???

Thank you.

If yes, is anyone here interested in trading? I would love to get a hold of some tail lights without flashy chrome all over them.

Thanks in advance.

12 views and no replies. Coooooool.

Maybe just a "welcome" or "hello newbie"

Could be that this forum is slow.

Any reference would be good. Thanks again.

To answer your question, yes it has and can be done. Your best best would to be to check the classifieds here, ebay, or your local junkyards to find a set.

Also yes this forum is pretty slow at times so don't think that everyone is ignoring you. Welcome to CL and don't be skurred to use the search function to answer some of your questions. You will find a lot of the answers you seek are just a click away.

welcome to CL.this board can be pretty slow. if you want your question answered, just wait for it. someone will have an answer. unfortunately, i don't. i hoped this was a question about 2nd gen ES 300's. even if the 04's tail lights dont work, i'm sure aftermarkets are somewhere waiting to be purchased.

edit: see, your question was answered.

Thank you kindly. Preciate it.

I was actually unfarmiliar with how to use this forum's functions.

I'm looking for a PM feature so that I could haved asked Lexus4Jess this question.

Cause I see that he has them on his vehicle. So I was pretty sure it could have been done, but I couldn't figure out how to ask him directly.

<~~~slightly stupid.

Thanks for the responses. I greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for the welcome too. I guess I'll post stuff on Monday and wait for the weekend to get my responses huh? :0)

Later guys/gals,

Thanks. :0) I'll post them as soon as I take some. I've only had my car a week and haven't gotten to do anything but, drive it and get used to the controls and stuff.

It's a 2002 ES300. Black exterior and black interior. Stock wheels with windows tinted. Other than that, nothing to describe. But, I will get photos up as soon as I can clean her up and shoot her.

Thanks for the interest.

Welcome to CL David

To address your original question, yes you can swap the '04 tails to your '02 ES but the '04 tailights are the same as the ones on the '02. The '05 and '06 ES330 have the different tail lamp design with the top 3/4 portion all red (for the tailight and brake lamp), and the bottom part clear (for the turn signal). So if you're looking for different tailights, I'm sure you mean the ones off of the '05-'06 ES

Cool

Welcome to CL, David. We love new members and always lay down a welcome mat for them. (I may have to have this one in real-time in my garage!)
Good luck with the taillight swap!
